I’m very proud of this commission not only because it is always an honor that such a prestigious newspaper as The New York Times decides working with me, but also because of the topic and the opportunity they have given me to develope an illustration and also a text about the subject.
The project consists of putting in the spotlight 7 inequalities that women face in their day to day. Throughout this week these 7 texts will be published.
I have been fortunate to collaborate on this project with lot of talented women who have contributed with texts and illustrations.

This is the sentence I wrote for my illustration:

“Many women live their whole lives fixated on their physical appearance, relentlessly worrying about the clothes they wear, their makeup, waxing, and so forth. We should work toward a more respectful and inclusive society, which allows women to have an image with which they feel comfortable, without being judged for it.”
